In the 1970s I saw a woman in the bottom of Havasupai canyon with a white polyester suit on and white high heels... she would walk two steps brush off her pants then repeat as we walked by in the red dust of the trail.... She came in on a helicopter...

That might be a decent substitute for micro-spikes on the Bright Angel. Wonder if the mule poop wipes right off?

She responded, saying "Love, love, love!"
This is a girl who makes fun of me for wearing Tevas 365 days a year, although she does own a pair. However, she has to have special shoe storage things in her room for all the high-heeled shoes she has. We call her "Imelda."

The advert is priceless! I'd be hard-pressed not to fall down laughing if I actually saw someone sporting a pair on the trails somewhere (highly likely here in CA...).
Joe - is that you modeling the grey ones!?

Well they did their market research. Afterall look at all the off road vehicles that are nothing more than mall queens.
This just completes the outdoor poseur package that men and women are guilty of.

I love this in the ad:
"*Not recommended for actual hiking, gardening, mountain climbing, or Phish concerts

"
