What is the quickest route to get from Tucson to Klondyke.
Is the Fort Grant road from Wilcox quicker or slower than 266?

Thanks

The Fort Grant road might be a little faster, but I can't say for sure. I've only used 266 once on the way back out from Ash Creek, but I've used the Fort Grant road a bunch of times. It can be very confusing because you have to keep making turns to stay on it and signs are occasionally missing. The Bonita-Klondyke road was just graded last month.

Very interesting write-up. I have been jeeping up part of that, starting at Mammoth, up Copper Canyon Road to Sister Bourne's place and beyond. There is a slot in there with water in it, great for swimming if you don't mind cow pee. Sounds like it would be a very fun mountain bike journey as well.

Check out Scott Morris' webpage about his MTB ride over the Rug Road, and up Mt Graham.
