Snow in Chiricahuas in March?

I'm wondering because a friend is coming to visit around mid to late march and I figured what better place to take someone that has never been to the West before than the Chiricahuas. We are planing either a 4 or a 5 night backpacking trip, with plans to camp in both higher and lower evaluations.

Only thing is, I haven’t been to the Chiricahuas since the snow came (it's easier to just stick with the Huachucas for me) and I have not been in this area in March before. So, does anyone think that we may have problems with too much snow being in the higher elevations of the Chiricahuas in March?

Thanks!

Watch the weather. It's a La Nina and that means drier than normal, so it might be dry by March.

Nope, he's never been out of the east coast. I have lived in Arizona for many years, mostly in and around the Flagstaff area. I just moved down here to the Sierra Vista area and I love it. But, never been here in March so I don't know how the weather will be. I'm hoping the Chiricahuas will not have very much snow so that we can get some good backpacking in. I know that the Huachucas have too much snow on them to do any good backpacking in the higher evelavatons right now, but I here that snow is gone by mid march normally. I hoping the Chiricahuas will be the same.

I don't want to take him to the Canyon because they'll only be down for one week and we want to get some good backpacking in, without that 5 or 6 hour drive one way.
