Plan - meet at the Spencer Trail parking area (Lee's Ferry Boat Ramp) at 9am on Saturday. Hike up Spencer, go cross-country to the Dominguez Pass, and down to the Paria River. Hike down the Paria River to the Lonely Dell where we either A)pick up a car we have strategically left there or B)hike the road back to the parking area.
The day might possibly be moved back to Sunday, depending on weather and whether my co-planner Toad (aka ToadoftheRocks) is feeling up to Saturday after a long drive up from Phoenix Friday night. Keep a watch here for updates.

Oh well. Guess you didn't like my suggestion of Sunday the 13th? That's when I can make it there.

Yeah, Toad and I had already decided on this weekend when I got your message.

Rob, I was at Lonely Dell a couple of weeks ago. You will need some kind of extra shoes for river fording.

Hope you get a GPS route of it. I may be in the area the following Sunday. Will let you know. I might like to go up to Page, though. Have never been there.

I would love to do this hike but as a dayhike from Phoenix it's impossible. Sundays are normally my free day but this weekend my wife has plans. As I've mentioned before, the Spencer Trail is my favorite trail in AZ, as short as it is. Looking forward to the pics for this one, and an uploaded GPS route.

I'll be bringing my SPOT so I should be able to get a decent GPS track from it. Should be a good crew - Toad, his wife, by buddy Brian, and me.

Great hike. I'm glad we didn't do it in December Liz. Maps are needed for sure.
