How in the Hell does St. Louis come in to our house and beat the two best pitchers in the NL (and arguably the best in the Majors this season)? Man do we miss Gonzo and Council right now.

This sucks.

I guess they can still pull it out - but the Cardinals are playing like a team of destiny, and the D-backs are playing like they have an excuse. I hope they do pull it out though.

And I hope the Yankees go down in flames. Whatever happens this post-season - the only thing that matters is that the stinkin' Yankees go down - preferably to the A's. That would be sweet.

Any D-backs loss would be definitely a palatable occurance if the Yankees get beat.

Life is good ANY TIME the Yankees get beat.

Well, the D-backs are out of it. Sad - but not unexpected. Although it is sad the way our two big guns got knocked around the yard (well, Shilling didn't get knocked around - but we couldn't score a run to save our lives in game 2).

Well, at least I have the soothing consolation that the Yankees are also out.

The two teams that went to the World Series are both out in the first round. Amazing. Baseball is a funny game.

It's pretty amazing what the loss of a couple of players can do to a team, too. I don't think they get swept with Counsell & Gonzalez in the lineup. Add Danny Bautista to the mix, and we could be talking repeat. It'll be interesting to see what they do during the off season. Have we seen the last of Durazo and BK??

Boo Hoo Hoolie,

It's time to focus on football and cheer on America's team: the Cowboys.

But keep your hands off my jacket! :BH:

Hmmmmm - hard to know which way to go with that one. On the one hand there will be no more "Tomohawk Chop" for the rest of the year - but on the other hand, Barry Bonds gets to advance in the playoffs. Sounds like a no win situation to me.

I'm stumped.

I'm rooting for the Twins to win it all just to stick it to Bud Selig - Go "Contraction Kids"!

But - then again - I also love the Rally Monkey and Eckstein - and the Hud - Go Angles!

I could go with this one, myself!

Guess I'll do the Chop next year!

Personally, I won't miss BK too much. My blood pressure certainly will go back down. He's quoted as saying he doesn't want to close anymore but I don't think he's consistent enough to start. I'd miss Durazo though. So much for the 'Big Payroll equals Post Season' theory, eh? And how 'bout those Angels? They've got a lot of heart.

I actually didn't have much of a preference. I would have liked to see Bonds get his ring, but the Angels are cool because they're underdogs.
