Beeline Showlder Repair

No, I didn't misspell shoulder.

There's actually a sign traveling southbound on the Beeline between Sunflower and Four Peaks with a sign spelled this way. Subsequent signs are spelled correctly. The construction is nearly complete, but I'd love to have somebody who is traveling this route in the near future to get a photo of it (Dawn?) before it's taken down. Really was quite amusing, but I passed it at about 80 and it's in one of the widely divided sections so heading back wasn't really an option.

BTW, the three lanes up the Mesquite wash hill are pretty nice now.

So if anybody can post a photo, I think it would make an excellent addition to the HAZ archives. I'm 98% sure it's within about 100 yards of this spot:

Anybody else catch it? I know there were a few HAZers on this route over the weekend, and I suspect it's been there for a while.

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. It didn't actually need to be done, it just needed to be ready to be done. And it "saved or created" at least one sign-making job that obviously didn't deserve it.

Are they actually widening it? I thought they were only doing stabilization improvements.

Yes. Besides having driven on that lane yesterday, this quote is taken from the website that you list above:
The $11.8-million reconstruction and widening project between New Four Peaks Road (milepost 204) and Dos S Ranch Road (milepost 210) started last summer and includes the addition of a third southbound lane to enhance safety and traffic flow along the last mile-and-a-half long uphill stretch during drives between Payson and the Phoenix area. Erosion control and slope repairs were also made over a 1.2-mile stretch slightly north of the project.
