Boynton Canyon

Would anyone be interested in a hike up Boynton Canyon on Oct 26th? Every year I hike this beautiful canyon near the end of October because there are usually as good of fall colors as you're going to get in Arizona.

I'm not a gonzo rapid hiker, I like to take it easy. After all, the journey is the best part, so I like to enjoy it rather than see nothing but the tops of my hiking boots.

If interested, please contact me at desertboots@cox.net

Let's meet at the Target parking lot, far north side on front of Target, at the 101 and I-17 at 7am. We'll carpool from there. If there's only 3 of us we can all ride together!

Optional dinner after at The Hideaway in Sedona.

I'm for it. Bet the colors will be spectacular! Just let me know for sure the time and place to meet and I'll be there. And I'll volunteer the "Cute Jeep" for car pooling. Linda and paintninaz can tell you what a pleasure it is to ride in it.

Okay, we'll meet at 7am at the Target at 101 and I-17. I'm in a blue Jeep Grand Cherokee (with 4 new off-road tires!!) and I'm going to park at the far end of the lot in front of Target.

Bring a lunch and wear hiking boots.

We can have dinner afterwards at The Hideaway in Sedona, but that's optional.

See y'all there..!

We unfortunately can't make it. Work has me hammered since I took last week off and Linda's new schedule has her working this Saturday as well. Sorry we can't make it. I hope we don't miss all of the colors this year again.

Well I just signed up for a couple of classes the next two Saturdays; gonna challenge someone to teach this old dog some new tricks, so I won't make Boynton afterall.

Hey Kristyn, wonder how many HAZ'rs know what a code 5150 is. Think it might be appropriate for GTG, Olesma, Mike and Randy

Hey!

My wife, dog, and myself are planning on joining you.

Since we're bringing a dog, we'd be happy to volunteer for driving duty. Our truck will comfortably seat 3 more people (the dog sleeps in his kennel while driving just in case anyone doesn't like dogs).

This will be my wife's first hike since jacking up her ankle, so she probably won't be setting any land speed records on this hike.

I would like to tag along too. (my first HAZ outing) It is quite possible another HAZite (Bil) will be joining me. I live north of your meeting point, maybe I could meet you farther north or at the trailhead? no big deal.

Daryl....is your dog friendly to other dogs? i would like to bring mine too.

Anyone interested in looking at the top of a box and helping me move this Saturday?

Just kidding - I would like to go - but as previously mentioned, I'll be hauling furniture and boxes into storage. And I do have plenty of help - more is always appreciated, but in this case - I seem to have things covered.

How far north do you live from the meeting place? I want to re-group at McDonald's in Sedona, the place with the Teal Arches. So, if you'd rather meet there, that's fine. Hopefully we'll be on the roadby 7:30 and for most people it's a two hour drive to Sedona give or take, so you guess the time.

See you there!

We'll be at Target, at the 101 and I-17 at 7am. We'll be driving an olive green Ford Expedition.

Anyone else going?

I've gotten a lot of resposes for this hike, so great! Can everyone e-mail me if you're definitely going to meet up at Target? I know about the ones from New River and we'll meet you guys up there at the McDonalds Teal Arches.

If you're going, please e-mail me at:
desertboots@cox.net

That way I can make sure we wait long enough for everyone to show up. I will have maps then as well, for those newbies that might not know the way. I would like to carpool as best as possible, as the parking at the trailhead can get crowded.

Dudes in New River, if you can e-mail me a cell phone number if you have one, I can call ya if we're running a little late. I'll give you my number if you want to call me.
