Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests lifts fire restrictions forest-wide; Greens Peak and Mt. Baldy are open to recreate

The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests is happy to share some much-anticipated news! The arrival of rain has reduced the extreme fire danger on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests. As 12:01 pm, today all campfire restrictions are lifted on both Forests.

In addition, Mount Baldy Wilderness Area, Gabaldon campground, Luna Lake campground, Pole Knoll Recreation Area, Greens Peak Recreation Area, portions of Saffell Canyon, and Murray Basin are now open.

Some areas will remain closed for the rest of the season due to the Wallow Fire. The areas of concern are where there were severe burn areas and is not safe for public access—mainly on the Alpine Ranger District. “We are elated the monsoons are now upon us giving us a reprieve for a while and an opportunity to lift campfire restrictions,” says Forest Fire Staff Officer Jeff Borucki...

I wonder if the Railroad Grade Trail is open, from 260 to Baldy? I like to mtn. bike it, as long as it is not too wet.
