North Canyon Trail/Saddleback?

Greetings. Has anyone been on this trail along North Canyon Creek since the latest triplog from 2008? I keep hearing conflicting reports about how badly the trail is overgrown....especially on the upper/upstream areas. Also, some internet legends about an abundance of rattlesnakes along that trail. Personally, I don't mind the rattlers all that much, and enjoy watching them from beyond striking distance.

One member of our gradually aging crew has promised She Who Must Be Obeyed that he will not hike the Grand Canyon this Fall because of his lack of training. This hike qualifies, since it is well beyond the National Park boundaries. Weve hiked the North Rim areas for decades, and look forward to exploring some of the less crowded but challenging trails. I appreciate any feedback, and will update the triplogs site if and when we hit this trail. Thanks again.
