Looks like I'll be in Phoenix the week of Thanksgiving. Flying in the Friday night before Thanksgiving. Is there anyone interested in hiking with this HAZ refugee from California on a day from the 19th through the 26th? I'll post an event if I get any responses. Thinking about within 2 hours drive from central Phoenix.

I was supposed to be coming in on the 10th and staying through the end of the month, but my schedule is in shambles. I'll stay tuned.

Wish I knew. I'll keep watching this thread. I have a GC backpacking trip over Thanksgiving, Wed. thru Sun.

I will definitely be in town and most likely hiking on the weekend of 26 or 27th... maybe a hike in the Superstitions?

I'm in for possibly the 25th. I am losing my Friday/Saturday Days off starting the 7th. I'll have Thursday/Friday that week, which means since I doubt anyone will go on Thanksgiving, I'll only be able to hike with someone on Friday.

I might be going to California. (Unless I get a job before then which may preclude a trip to California. Sigh...) But I'll watch this thread for developments.

I wouldn't mind going to Cochise County to photograph birds in the area on Tuesday and Wednesday that week, if my schedule allows it. If you're interested in going, let me know. It's about 4 hours away, tho. Maybe we can hit Chiricahua NM or Ransey Canyon. I'm recovering from a foot sprain, so I'm limited on what I can do right now.

I'm down! I'm open on weekends.

I'm generally open weekdays until 4pm. My money situation ain't great right now, but I'll probably be down to meet up for something local (Phoenix Preserves/Sonoran Desert Preserves/ect)

@Stiller: I was worried that Tough_Boots would be horrified after that hike primarily due to my personal vernacular.
I'm flying into Phoenix on Friday the 18th and leaving on Sunday the 27th so I'm looking to hike on Monday the 21st, and Tuesday and Wednesday. Hikes that are closer to town look to be better. I'll post something definitive when I figure out my transportation. Supes sound great, maybe Skull Mesa.

I'm coming in on the 18th, too. Ironically, I'm being delayed by a trip to Livermore. I'll be flying from SFO to NJ on the 17th. :roll:

I'm 1/2 mile from the Union Hills loop and Sonoran preserve in North Phoenix.. The Friday after thanksgiving would be a cool day to hike, I want to do Governors peak (Lake Pleasant) as well.
