More rock climbing...

I'm planning on arranging a weekday rock climbing lesson - "Beginner II" with the Arizona Adventure and Climbing School (REI) maybe as soon as next week. You need two to do it and I think I have that, but if anybody else is interested it sounds like fun and a good way to brush up on safe techniques. You save $$ by doing it during the week, but it is still about $100 for a full day at a site in the McDowells.

Fritzski - I'm definetly interested, but next week is out...my brother gets married in Chicago, we are leaving Wednesday night...

If you like the class, could send me some contact info, I'd like to try something like that....

I'm currently taking a climbing class with the Arizona Mountaineering Club (AMC) and I'd highly recommend this class to anyone. The club is comprised of people that live for climbing and everyone I've met is super professional and knowledgable about their sport / safety. Their class is $160, but is a screaming deal. For that price, there are four-four hour lecture/lab sessions (16 hours total), 3-8 hour climbing days in the wilderness (24 hours total), and you get to keep a set of brand new carabiners (locking & unlocking) + misc. cordage.

An incredible deal if you ask me!

Hey ck1 I'll let you know how it goes. Yeah, Tempe8 I wanted to do that AMC class also, but the weekends and days you have to have free just didn't work out for me. The REI classes aren't as comprehensive, but they are extremely flexible in regards to your free days. Anyone interested can find out more on http://www.climbingschool.com.
