Anyone have any beta on the Canyon Creek ruins on the White Mountain Apache reservation? I've been checking out Canyon Creek Ruin and the Cliff Dwellings of the Sierra Ancha by Emil Haury. Thanks.

Believe that part of the reservation is closed to non residents.

Many years ago I heard about Haury's book, and was taken in by the Canyon Creek ruins. The maps in the book are pretty poor, but after a day and a half of searching, I found the ruins. They are absolutely amazing. You risk big trouble if caught, not sure what the fines, etc would be.

I have given a few people directions how to find them - I could be talked into passing these on to others.

@azbadger
Please don't as this ruins complex is definitely on the White Mountain Apache Reservation and access is strictly restricted for invite only by the tribal elders.
