I had to work today also. However if I had been off you wouldn't have found me ANYWHERE near a store or mall. It looked like utter madness out there.

I totally avoided going to any stores and was thoroughly satisfied at buying three pairs of Teva Terra Fi 3 sandals (retail $79.95 ea, or $90 at REI! Why I no longer buy from REI) for $41.51 each through Sierra Trading Post. I had a key code, plus Thanksgiving code, plus an extra 25% off by spending over $100. With that kind of deal I stocked up on other hiking stuff so I'm set for another year.
No, I don't go through three pair a year, one was for Tracey and two for me since I'm able to get out for more hikes than her.

I do love STP and buy almost all my gear there except for my hiking boots/shoes. I always buy those at REI because I can return them if damaged/broken. Point in fact, I bought a pair of Keen Voyager boots from them and the top lace holder (made of damn plastic) broke not even 9 months after buying them. I was able to return them for a brand new pair. STP has awesome deals on everything else.

I've been so well-behaved. I went to the REI sale and didn't buy a thing. My wife picked up the slack, but she was replacing clothes that were totally shot. I don't know if they would have survived another washing.

from now, 11-28-11 until Friday at midnight, 12-2-11, you will get a discount of about 15% on the Freeze and Flurry underquilts. That puts the prices around $160 and $212 respectively.
also, the cost of extra down overfill per ounce is $5 off, so dont forget to add it if you want it! and.. as always.. FREE shipping!
thanks for remembering the small guys when you do your holiday shopping. we here at te-wa underquilts appreciate your business, and good taste.
