I found it on search for Info to plan my next trip,hiking for up to 10 Weeks,with some small Breaks.

Welcome aboard! Hiking 10 weeks here in Arizona!? Sounds like an awesome time. Where in the state will you be hiking at?

At Moment im looking in it to go by Amtrak to Flagstaff and hike down to Phoenix,and do then,if Time left,some exploring around Phoenix or other Places,to go there by Greyhound,seeing old Ghost Towns
Thinking to stay Christmas to new Year in Flagstaff,to acclimatize and see old Historical Sites around it,and then Down without hassle.
Main Problem as usually is Water,to find it or hike past Stores or Towns to buy it,but also not being in the Mountains on dangerous Tracks during Snowy Time. Im just too old for taking more Risk as affordable :-)

Keep us updated on your plans and perhaps some of us can include you along with our hiking trips.

I am currently out of country myself (Kyiv, Ukraine) but will be back in the states in June of this year.

Hiking around Flagstaff in winter may be more snowshoeing and little hiking.

That is definitely the best and least complicated route to choose for what you are attempting to do. In my heart of hearts and not based on any kind of sanity, a route that followed the Verde RIver that connects Sedona through Cottonwood to the AZT is something that I have been pondering for sometime. I don't know if there is anything that would accomplish a similar "Sedona through Cottonwood" trip but given the time of year he is suggesting perhaps dropping down from the Rim (Getting out of the snow) sooner rather than later, say through "West of Oak Creek" or "Secret Canyon" might not be a smarter bet and still finish in 10 days. Maybe someone can fill in the gaps for tracks that connect Flag to Sedona and so forth. I mean if you're gonna skip the Grand Canyon, you might as well see Sedona.

The AZT keeps on top of the rim and likely in the snow for quite some time but it is already laid out and ready to go.
