I read quite a few pages of the journal, and he used the term several times, in such a way that I became sure it was just shorthand for "cowboy camping" which is sleeping under the stars, sans tent. Funny that term has never really caught on in the backpacking lexicon. Where I live, up in Eagar, Arizona, everyone knows what "cowboy camping" means.WilliamnWendi wrote:In this journal what is meant by "We returned(to camp) for a cowboy and great views"?
