Topo! Arizona vs. Win XP

The REI and National Geographic Society Web pages for Topo! Arizona don't mention Win XP as a compatible OS. There is/was, however, a contradictory statement elsewhere on the NGS site that says that compatibilty *does* exist. NGS customer service told me that this statement is wrong and the application is not XP compatible. Since the software seems to be a Win-only application, it's hard to understand the lack of compatibility this late in the game.

Has anyone managed to get XP Home or Professional Editions and Topo! Arizona to work together? If not "plug 'n play," what steps were necessary to make the marriage work?

I run Topo on Windows 98, however I do have a laptop available to me that runs XP. I will be glad to try installing on that machine sometime this weekend and let you know if it works or not, unless someone can give you a definite answer now.
