I miss the Superstitions and I haven't managed to do a night hike this summer yet. Bring your headlamp. Meet at Peralta at 7pm.

I'd be in the week before, but it'd be a little darker. I'll be back at work by then.

Have fun Mr. Heartless.

It will be my first night hike but I am definitely interested. I will be able to commit by 7/18.

@squatpuke
I usually do a couple night hikes out there in the summer and have never come across a snake at night-- lots of scorpions and tarantulas, though.

Have fun/Be safe! Not sure if you are heading up Terrapin but I've always seen lots of snakes there.

Remember while hiking, the first hiker wakes the snake, the second hiker upsets the snake and the third hiker is the target. Head east to Reeds Water I think it's a more enjoyable night hike. Planning on a camping trip that week.

I would be down if I had the right days off. I love the stupid idea of having my first Supes hike at night.

@Nighthiker
That would be nice, too. I've done the Weavers Needle Loop as a night hike before and its pretty nice.

I did the same thing YEARS ago with a stupid ex-boyfriend...he had no idea what he was getting into, i'd only read about how intense the Supes can get....good thing I was there to keep him on the trail...and I've never looked back, the Supes have become so dear to me!

as long as you're comfortable hiking distance at night and have a reliable headlamp then please come along! It'll be fun.

and don't mind slipping and sliding down the trail on the way back...ahhh, hey TB are we heading out via Bluff Springs trail first? Or going up Peralta (which is the slippery sliding, soft sand part

) Vince and I went up Bluff Springs trail first, absolutely beautiful trail too!! And so CLEAN!!!

My preference is to do Bluff Springs first. Going down the Terrapin is way better than going up. Fremont Saddle near the end without a ton of people is a nice prize, too.
