My son and I want to hike Passage # 18, Reavis Canyon, on Saturday, September 29th. We need a ride to Rogers Trough Trailhead, and we will hike downhill to Picketpost, where my wife will pick us up. I'd like to be at the trailhead between 5:30 and 6:00 am.

I am willing to pay gas money.

We live in Mesa - Stapley & Southern. I am willing to meet up almost anywhere in the East Valley.

Is anybody headed that way?

If I wasn't committed to National Public Lands Day that day in Pine, I'd do it. There has to be someone else on here who wants to do that segment and is willing to share the "car tricks." Good luck!

Although Tracey and I weren't planning on quite so early a start and will be hiking the other direction, we could probably make it work.

Thank you all for your desire to help.

After some PM messaging with CannondaleKid, we have wrangled out the kinks, and there's a VERY good chance he will be able to take my son and me to the Rogers Trough Trailhead.

However, there is a SMALL chance that things may fall out, and he won't be able to take us. Would anyone like to volunteer as a backup driver, just in case? The pay is the same - gas money, and our everlasting gratitude!

On a Saturday morning at the tail end of September the four-wheeling crowd might be lined up in traffic along the road to that trailhead. An undiscovered hideaway it isn't. In a pinch, winging it with a cardboard sign and a howdy to passing motorists oughtta get the job done.
