In honor and celebration of the full recovery of my knee injury I have decided to drag you all out on a full moon hike somewhere near downtown Phx, probably end up at SoMo make some crazy loop as usual
No head lamps!! Just The moon and the stars and The Hippy
So who's in?

if you do the Desert Classic, you won't need a headlamp or the moon-- they'll be plenty of light coming from the crystal chandeliers hanging in the houses next to the trail.

really? Is it that bad?!

i don't wanna be by peeeeople! What else would YOU suggest Kyle? What about the other end, the Alta trail? I just figured I'd be nice to a certain set of you and stay downtown instead of making you all trek 783 miles north for a "short" night hike.
i could suggest we attempt the Needle loop again but I'll get yelled at for a 12 mile night hike right now

I don't get home from work until 10pm so I can't go anyways... but you won't like the Desert Classic-- its sucks. You're literally in everyone's backyard.
As far as getting yelled at-- you definitely need to be careful with that knee. Even though it felt good on this last hike, that doesn't mean its 100%. My knee injury was three months ago and even though my hiking is back up to par with no pain and I'm doing some major painless cycling miles-- I can still tell its not quite 100% when I go running. LET IT HEAL, HIPPY!!!

Too bad you can't come out with us, and if I see houses from the trail I want nothing to do with it, thanks for the heads up!
Thanks for caring dear, really, i'm glad you all care, but I want to hike, i need to, i'll go stir crazy if i don't. i've been taking it easy...with the exception of the 9 miles on tuesday...
I never said it's 100%, once you get an injury like that it's stuck with you for a very long time, i know this and i'm ready for it, but it won't stop me. I won't run or cycle anytime soon that's too much for it but i can control the hikes and adventures i go on, how much weight i carry, how hard i set my feet down when climbing. I got this...and i really DO listen to evrything you all tell me, as mule headed as i am, i don't want to be stuck off the trails any longer...everything's gonna be fine.
