Looking for an overnighter for next month. Mileage is not an issue as we normally hike at 3.5 mph + fully loaded. Water is necessary, prefer dog friendly (strong hikers also) and if possible hanger friendly. What have you got?

either:
safford/morenci trail with a night at bonita creek (longer shuttle)
or
AZT picketpost t/h to kelvin bridge (shorter shuttle)
both are wonderful = i'd do them again.
yes?

and

seems most of the AZT i've done was North--->South, so you have to understand the directions backwards..

Vince, grab three maps from three different wilderness areas, spin around then with eyes closed, slam a finger down on the map, there's your destination, now make a route

easy as that my friend!

I think she sprained her ankle during the spin around part of those instructions. But it coulda been her knee.

@Te-WA
Is there anyway to create a loop out of #17 and #16 plus something else?

That is pretty much a shuttle or an out-and-back. You could find some game trails, but that is
Game Management Unit 37B and is during prime Javelina season. If you go too far off trail wear bright orange.
