Chuckwagon Trail Access from Long Canyon Road ...

I was speaking with the Red Rocks Ranger Station this morning and they told me about a trailhead/parking area for the Chuckwagon Trail that I'm having trouble finding on the MapDEX.

Looking at the "map" at http://redrockcountry.org/maps/map-grap ... -large.jpg and the map window on http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/coconino ... ecid=54892, it's clear that the trailhead for the Long Canyon Trail is at (34.906679, -111.824245) (as shown in http://hikearizona.com/gps=242), but the *.jpg "map" and the person at the ranger station say that the trailhead/parking area for the Chuckwagon Trail access is on Long Canyon Road between that point and (34.898611, -111.828964) (where Long Canyon Road and Dry Creek Road/Boynton Pass Road "T").

When I told the ranger person that I couldn't find what she was talking about on the Web-based map I use (i.e., MapDEX), she said :o that maybe the map I'm using is out of date :sl: because the parking/area is kind of new. I didn't want to argue with her, so I said nothing.

So does anyone know of such a parking area that provides access to the Chuckwagon Trail other than the parking area/trailhead for the Long Canyon Trail?

Thank you!

This looks like a parking area that accesses Chuckwagon on the east side of the road (through the wash), and probably what is Mescal on the west side of the road (heading north).
