need Flagstaff & Page car park

I need a place to leave a car in the Flagstaff area from mid-Mar to mid-Apr. I'll contact the ATA and Flagstaff area Stewards about this also.
Leaving Big Bend TX towards mid-Mar, putting out 7 caches between Oracle & Flagstaff, leaving car in Flagstaff, busing back to Tuscon/Oracle, & beginning Nbound hike 15 Mar.
At Flagstaff plan to move car to Paria R Outfitters or Page AZ, putting out 2 caches on the way, and bus back to Flagstaff; plan to hike a couple more weeks N from Flagstaff, from mid-Apr to end-Apr, to finish AZT. Mexico to Oracle was done in 2012.
Any car park help greatly appreciated,
Bob "Trekker" Brewer

Howdy Bob. I bet Guino might be able to help with Flagstaff parking. Remember him from the old forum hangout? Not sure if our college-age AZT trail angel has come on board here at HAZ yet.
It's looking like a wettish winter so far. You might be able to save some energy on the caching front, given a favorable start date (as it seems you'll have).

If you don't find anyone, let me know. I can ask around.

@blisterfree
Good to hear from you. I don't know Guino, nor have I been hanging around this posting list--didn't even discover it until a few days ago when I started looking for parking places.
If you know how to contact him, let me know off-forum at
trekker4@aol.com (not a link). I still have to contact ATA & Stewards.
Thanks,
Trekker

@azbackpackr,
If you don't mind, ask around. It's usually somewhat of a challenge to find someone willing to hold a car for a month; a lot of people don't even have a place to park an extra car. Please conact me off-forum at
trekker4@aol.com (not a link). I still have to contact ATA & Stewards, in the next day or two.
Thanks for your response,
Trekker

Bob, try contacting Guino through the email link on his most recent post over on TJ, which I'm linking here simply for the benefit of anyone else who might need some Flagstaff-area trail magic from a willing supplier:

I emailed a Flag friend. Haven't heard back yet.

OK I heard back from my friend, and all she could come up with is that you can park for free at the airport, but she wasn't sure how long. She didn't offer a space for you to park. Oh, well. It was worth a try.

How about leaving the car instead at Phoenix, with its greater, um, human resource potential, putting out whatever caches deemed necessary along the length of the trail prior to dropping off the car? You could then easily get back to Phoenix after the hike to retrieve car, using a combination of the standard options to leave northern terminus, followed by public transit or one-way rental vehicle. Suspect that snowpack and residual moisture north of Mogollon Rim at that early date would preclude the need to do caching, if not picky about water sources.

All, still looking,
1. Blisterfree, Guino, has not called me back, for a week now; he's still my best hope; I'll call him again. I could park in Phoenix, and probably have a place there, which I used last year; however, I'd still have to get back to Flagstaff to get a bus. I'll keep trying for Flagstaff for now.
2. Thanks, azbackpackr, for calling your friend.
3. I haven't gotten any response from the ATA, so far, but have from a couple Stewards.
4. The P40a Steward suggested parking in Fredonia, but it would be more difficult to hitch back to Flagstaff from there, to continue hiking the last 200 miles.
5. There are no buses N of I-40 in AZ or UT: Page, Kanab, Fredonia, etc; at the end of the hike I can hitch to Page, then Flagstaff-my hitch signs are already printed.
6. Has anyone heard if the FS or BLM allows parking at their offices?

I know that somebody already mentioned it, but parking at the airport is an option. It's free. Their website even addresses long-term parking.
The City of Flagstaff Pulliam Airport provides 400 free passenger parking spaces for both short and long term parking for our travelers. There is no fee for parking in the lot; however, if you are planning on leaving your vehicle in the parking lot for more than three weeks, please provide the following information to the Airport Administration Office located on the second floor of the airport terminal building:
Name, Address, Phone number, Vehicle make, model, color, licence plate, and Return date.
The catch is that it does state that parking is for "our travelers". But I would consider asking them about it anyway.
Depending on how much money you might want to spend, there are daily flights from Page to PHX for about $80 one way, so that might also be an option worth looking into also.

@chumley,
Thanks, Chumley; someone else had mentioned this, prefaced with "I think...", so I'm glad to confirm it; I'll print the info. I'm hoping Guino, w/his open Trail Angel offer, will call me back, because that's a place to stay and more personal attention to my car.

Update:
Still looking for a Flagstaff car park for the Apr-May timeframe. Guino/Richard's open Flagstaff Trail Angel offer on Trail Forums was a possibility, but he hasn't answered my inquiries, for more 2 weeks. Dave Hicks gave me the name of a Passage Steward who lives in Flagstaff; I emailed him this morning. I may also have to see if the ATA has members living in Flagstaff.

Thanks to all who helped me find a parking place! A Passage Steward contacted me, and referred me to another Steward, who will let me park at his house.
