I'm trying to sell my Malibu Pro 2 Tandem Kayak. The Pro 2 Tandem is the ultimate two-seater kayak. Designed for all-around ocean, lake and flat water paddling, fishing and scuba diving, the Pro 2 Tandem is exceptionally stable and easy to paddle for one person or two. The Pro 2 Tandem makes a great platform for fishing and diving and can be equipped with an unheard of 6 flush mount rod holders. All Pro 2 Tandems include bow and stern handles, eyelets, bungee storage and drain plug. Since I lost my paddle buddy I've found that it is just a little cumbersome loading it on top of my SUV. It comes with two paddles, two seats and two PFDs. it also has a place for mounting a trolling motor. The front hatch is 8" round and the back hatch is 10x20". I'm asking $600.
PM me if interested.
Specifications:
Length: 13'
Width: 33"
Depth: 11"
Weight: 58 lbs
Weight Capacity: 550 lbs but I've had more than that in it and it handled pretty well.

@azbackpackr
because they get angry with each other's paddling styles? If so that's OK because the un-named buyer is going to use it with his grand kids.

Well, you are not born knowing how to paddle in tandem. When we had one of those it took some practice to get it coordinated. We called a kayak teacher for some advice, and we looked on the internet. The person in the stern has a different job than the person in the bow. But we did get pretty good at it. But not as good as these folks:

@azbackpackr
that was pretty impressive but if i tried it with my SOT it probably wouldn't work as well ;) My father and I got pretty good at keeping time with each other and not banging paddles though. we could keep about 5 knots on a good day.

I wouldn't choose to buy another one but we did have fun with it. I went to REI today to talk to an experienced flat-water kayak guy about the best boat for my next dream trip, Hoover Dam to Yuma (using a pull-cart to get around the 6 dams). He recommended a touring boat, but stressed that I need to make sure I get one that fits my small stature. He said that too many smaller people end up with boats that don't fit them. Harder to control. I definitely want a single cockpit boat!

One of these days. I'm tired of sitting on top. Too slow.

I went sea kayaking in a pretty nice boat in Costa Rica, but the guy at REI told me that if the boat were fitted to me it would go even faster. He said one or two strokes and you just take off and go really straight. These boats aren't cheap, though. $1,500 and up, just like mtn. bikes. I keep looking at Craigslist, saw a nice one today in Green Valley for $850. I don't have $850, though.

I think I am going to have an opportunity this year to buy one, maybe. I think I am going to have a windfall at some point. Not sure yet, though. Of course, you know me well enough by now, I will most likely tell people I'm in the market, and also when I make a purchase! ;)

I'm leaning heavily toward Eddyline. There are a couple of reps in W. AZ.
