Looking for a short hike around 2 to 5 miles roundtrip to do with my dog. Anywhere around Phx area. Tonto national forest or sedona area. . Would love a place where the dog and myself could jump in some water. Something a little deeper than a tiny stream. Ty in advance.

Go to home page, click on map in area where you want to go. When new map comes up you can further refine it by clicking on map again. List of hikes comes up. On bar across top of page there is a box that says "Dog Pref." Click on that, dropdown menu, click "yes."

Then you can also look at those same menus for "hiking," "creeks, perennial" "swim," and "waterfall" to further refine it as you wish.

Just for fun, I clicked on a map area north of Phoenix, and further refined it on the new map by clicking on a section labeled "Verde South" then refined with "hiking," "dogs, yes," "creek, perennial," "swimming, yes." Found several nice ones.

Hope this helps.

Wet Beaver Creek. West Clear Creek Trail 17. Sycamore Creek north of Cottonwood. All easy hikes with quick access to some nice pools.
