Humphreys Fest-style

Saturday morning when some people head for Kendrick, perhaps others will want to head for Humphreys.
It's a bit farther to drive (about 10 dirt-road miles to the Snowbowl Road) but something tells me there are people who would like to put in some effort on the big hill. (Peak not required, bomber-site might also be a nice destination).
If this is your preference, mark it here. The logistics can be figured out in the comments, or discussed in camp.

Kendrick for me. I climbed it once before, liked it. I've hiked the Hump about 4 times, that's enough for me for that tourist hike. Sitgreaves Mountain looks interesting, but there is no trail. In fact, the guy who did the hike description called it "a pain in the butt" which makes it sound quite interesting.

I did Sitgreaves last summer. It's a fun off-trail scramble that eventually opens up and has some views.
I posted a few hike options near to our hazfest campsite. They are by no means the only options nearby. I just wanted to get the ball rolling and give people some ideas.
(I might not personally even hike any of them!) If you (or anybody else) would like to hike something else, please post an event. I wouldn't be surprised to see that others are also interested.
Of course, all of this can be discussed and decided in person over the camp fire as well.

Larry to be honest I don't personally plan on doing this hike. I was trying to get the ball rolling. There will be 30 or 40 hikers camping in the woods 10 miles away so I figured some would want to do Humphreys. Watch this post during the week to see what happens. But it might make most sense for you to drive to camp in the morning and head over from there unless any of the participants will commit to an exact time.

To bad I have never done Humphreys peak and was hoping someone else would go. I would like to hike up tp Humphreys peak and come down the Weatherford trail but would need two cars to do that.
Have fun I guess i'll try something else

I was never planning on that. Sorry. Someone else may still be hiding out waiting to do that. However, late September and early August are perfect for doing a hike like that. Usually drier, too.

Late September and early August? Did you mean, early October?

I haven't done this hike before but I'm definitely interested if it comes off.
