Especially #4 (Into the Wild) and #3 (127 Hours) ...

"Most popular works of art have some sort of message. Star Wars teaches us to fight the evil in ourselves in order to fight the evil outside ourselves; The Godfather warns us against the corrupting powers of greed; and Prometheus promotes the practice of running sideways if a tall object is falling on you. Unfortunately, sometimes the message gets lost and fans misinterpret the movie or book so badly that they end up becoming the exact same things the authors were warning them about, with hilarious and/or tragic results."

Human beings have the capability to be very creative and extremely brilliant... unfortunately in too many cases the brilliance shines through creative stupidity.

What's worse is just as there is no end to the possibility of doing truly brilliant good things, there is the corresponding possibility of doing extremely stupid things... like texting while driving, or in my mind even being on the phone while driving... the offender's mind is simply not in the car and everyone around is put at risk.
