As some of you may know, HAZ member jonnybackpack has opened Gilbert's first brewery, the Arizona Wilderness Brewing Company.

The decor features a rustic outdoor theme, and the walls are lined with awesome nature photography. Beers and menu items are named after wilderness areas in Arizona.

In the hallway leading to the restrooms, the pub has begun to allow visitors to post photos of themselves visiting Wilderness Areas.

Do you want to be famous?! I will donate the 19¢ to print a 4x6 if you send me a link (if it's on HAZ or elsewhere online) or PM me your photo file and give me permission to tack it to their wall! (There are already 15-20 photos up and some feature HAZzers!)

Of course, the preferred option would be for you to bring in your own photo, put it on the wall yourself, and then enjoy a pint or two over a tasty burger.

Photos should include hikers (preferably you) in front of a sign designating a wilderness area. (Example: http://hikearizona.com/photo=303286).

If you have photos of out-of-state wilderness signs, that's ok too. I think there are 3-4 in AZ that will be very well represented. The less-frequently visited ones will be nice to see too. So while a sign without people in it is not preferred, if you have one that says Aleutian Islands Wilderness or something similar, I don't think there would be many complaints even if it is just a sign with no hikers in it.

For the record, there are 88 Wilderness Areas in Arizona. It would be neat if eventually there were photos from all of them!

I can do again with chips and a burger bun and wherever else, maybe even a basket from the Brewery so it looks more authentic. I just have to wait until the open up the main road in Joshua Tree NP.

This is the one and only picture of me worthy for this honor. Unless you want to contact Snakemarks and use the photo shopped version which is quite funny. Part of which is my current avatar by the way.

Hey Owen-I always appreciate good humor (and laughed at the wildfire tag).

Just to clarify, appropriate photos should be of a person or group AND a sign indicating the name of the Wilderness Area you are in (or about to enter). Otherwise the wall might end up covered with photos of random people posing outside the cave where they hide the bodies.

So the latest additions that I've been involved with (there are a few strangers that have brought in their own photos) are Randy and Elizabeth.

I'm pretty sure that BobP still hasn't brought one of him (and insists on doing it himself), and strangely, I don't think there's a Tewa up there either
