I need to find a home for my cat

I need to find a home for my cat. Not a feral cat, spicy cat, road kill cat, but an actual spayed female cat, aged 9 or 10. She likes being indoors and outdoors. I keep her inside at night and outside during the day, mostly. She's a good mouser. When I go out of town I lock her in the plant room with two litter boxes and a feeder, and a big pan of water, and she always seems fine when I return. At night she does like to sleep on the bed, unless she gets left outside all night, which occasionally happens.

Thought I had found her a home, rented my house today, the husband wanted the cat, the wife didn't.

@azbackpackr
Our hands are full, but we have had great luck both finding cats as well as finding a home for a cat on craigslist. Just saying in case you don't have luck here.

Thanks, I may try that. There is a Round Valley Yardsale on the "site which must not be named" also. I haven't tried that yet, either.

I'd bring her to Phoenix or Tucson, if necessary.

I found a home for her today. I liked the people who came to get her. I think it will work out. But now I'm sad.

@Liz Even though our minds know something is the rightthing to do, our hearts struggle to believe it's true...

Yes. I got up this morning, she wasn't sleeping at the foot of my bed of course. But I thought I heard a meow, and wondered if she had escaped her new home, so I went and looked out the door. Pathetic, I know. I'll get over it.

Why do I imagine you hiding a bottle of BBQ sauce while you typed that? Anyway, I hope azbackpackr's kitty is happy in its new home.
