AZGFD picks up two tigers

A couple of tiger cubs (why are they not called kittens?) have been taken from two homes in the valley, one in Phoenix, and the other in Gilbert, after their owners posted photos of them online. It is illegal to possess tigers as pets in Arizona without a special permit from AZGFD.

An investigation into the details of the story is ongoing.

I think it would be fun to see a tiger strolling through the alley while taking out the trash one day. :o

@chumley
The only Tigers I support living in cities are the Detroit Tigers :)

Although, I heard a football team from Florida captured, cornered and then beat on some tigers from Auburn last night ;)

any more tiger puns? anyone..

I think I saw one in a dog create, in the back of a pick up, about a week ago! I was driving South on Scottsdale Rd a few miles N of the 101 and passed a truck with a large plastic create in the back. There was a mesh window and I see the face of a tiger. :o I'm not sure I'm right...so I caught them at the next light and look again. I found it strange the truck has no markings on it's door. Plus, the create was not strapped down so it moved around in the bed of the truck when the truck stopped and started. I thought....Game and Fish, animal rescue, etc?

Just read the news article... I saw the white one.

I thought it was amusing that an Africa theme park wants tigers. I wonder if you asked 100 Americans if there are tigers in Africa, how many would say yes?

:SB: Apparently certain members of said Florida team have off field experience beating, or worse, on people as well ... :x

As far as the less vicious creatures captured in The Phoenix area, I'd bet there's drugs involved ...

@Outdoor Lover A woman in South Jersey once kept tigers, a LOT of tigers. An undetermined number of them got loose in the pinelands and at least one was eventually shot by police. She didn't keep good records, so it's unclear whether any other tigers remained at large. After a 5-year legal battle, 24 tigers were confiscated. It's been ten years, so there probably aren't any still out there, but I'll let you know if I ever see one.

They've been relocated to the Out of Africa wildlife park in Camp Verde ... nice video of the little cubs on AZC. (By little, I mean 200-lb 8-month olds).

Hello news hairdos! Camp Verde is in CENTRAL ARIZONA, NOT NORTHERN ARIZONA. Can't you EVER look at a MAP? You often say Springerville is in Northern Arizona, too, but it's south of the middle! Camp Verde is only a few miles north of dead center. That does not make it in Northern Arizona.

And yes, I posted it on the site, too, but left the "hairdos" word out, since I thought they might ban me forever.
