Flatiron - Tree near the top gone?

Getting ready to head out for another Flatiron hike (been a long time since I've been to the top, and I need my fix!) and I was hearing from a friend that the tree at the final/wall obstacle near the top that everyone uses to pull up on the left side is a gonner? Just wondering if anyone can confirm/deny this one.

I have an irrational distaste for cushioning a fall onto rocks using my body parts, so I've always avoided the scramble up the right side and opted for the tree route. This is gonna suck if it's really gone =(

Don't know if it's gone or not, but I have always climbed the rocks on the right - it's not bad at all. If the tree's gone, I will miss swinging down it though!

A lot has changed up there in the last year....even in the last month I've seen new spur trails. One going up/down an obvious(to me at least) rockfall. As for the tree, I can't remember and I've only done it 3 times in the last 3 weeks  .
I'm heading out there in a few hours and will check it out. My gut says its gone because something seemed different up there. The big roots are still there I think...blah...blah...blah....no help :) .

The tree trunk was still there and usable a couple weeks ago when I was up there (I used it coming down!). Not sure what happened to the rest of the tree!!
