Going somewhere.

Just haven't decided where. Tomorrow, Saturday morning around 7am. I've got about 4 hours to burn and will hit something close to home. Supes...Goldfields, etc. Maybe peak out in the Supes, quick run over to LaBarge Box, Picketpost, Massacre Falls, maybe some off-trail exploration. Open for other ideas if anyone looking for an extra set of feet on the ground.

No offense, but I was hoping for a much more philosophical discussion.

Where are we going with all this hiking? Are we finding inner peace, greater turmoil, or just annoying those by having a, "keeping up with the Bartels", mindset of hiking? Does one's hiking bring greater enjoyment of life by finding peace, nature, and one's self, whilst being, "out there", or does our competitive and driven society force an instinct like approach to only find satisfaction from the achievement of goals?

Well, I would go, but since you would still be Hiking alone, you would still feel empty inside..... :sl: Maybe sometime if you're going more for a Photoshoot.... :D

Going Backwards. It is decided. Reverse Willow Springs Canyon. Butcher Jones at Saguaro Lake, kayak to mouth of Willow Springs Canyon and hike up the canyon.

Beautiful day for a paddle and hike. The canyon was mine alone for the 3 hours I was there.
