Hello,

So I have lived in the Tucson region my entire life, with this have developed a love of the Senora Desert. I also have a 2 year old son, how I want to instill the love of the desert in. With that said Im looking for a good trail, about 3 miles (round trip) that would be a good starter of my son and I. I live in Tucson (between the Pima Canyon trail and Sabino Canyon, for those of you familiar with the area).

Any ideas are welcome, TY

I took my daughter hiking in Saguaro National Park when she was 3 and another visit down there we went to Linda Vista Trailhead, there are quite a few hike/walk options from that trailhead. Great for the little ones.
Most regional parks have nature/interpretive trails available that are great for kiddos.

Also try using the map option here on HikeArizona, you can search hikes in your area based on mileage, time of year, region etc. :D

:welcome: You really need not say anything more than Sabino Canyon. There are so many wonderful options there, various mileage, various elevation gain, etc., you can't go wrong there. You may want to consider riding the shuttle up to the end of the canyon then hiking back down as far as your little one can handle (and still have fun with) and if you don't make it back to the bottom you can hop the shuttle to return. After all, what kid doesn't like an open-air shuttle ride?

Ty for the warm welcome. I hope I can hang around here. Seems like a great community. :y: Also ty for the advice, I was unaware SC still had a tram. Its been close to 17 years since I have been there.

Except 7 falls, but we went there right off the parking lot
