More Forum Search Pain

There was a recent thread about FR 201. It is not in the road sub-forum. Nor is it in the recent forum thread list. Searching for "201" from the top-level forum listing gives me no results with "201" in the title. Searching from the site home page purple box also does not reveal the thread. I'd swear that was part of the title/subject. Does the forum search not search by title/subject? Am I hallucinating the thread's recent existence?

Try "FR201" as a single word (rather than FR 201).

In the purple home page search box, then click on "photos" to reveal when it was used in photo comments, and also on "triplogs" to reveal when it was used in triplog comments.

It has been discussed in 4 triplogs or triplog comments in 2014.

I searched for "201" with no preceding "FR". I would expect it to return both "FR201" and "FR 201" ...

In that case, 201 would also return every time somebody included a date from the last 5 years, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, etc. Sometimes you need to tweak your search terms a bit if you aren't coming up with the result you seek.

What else do you recall being discussed with regards to FR201? I'd consider adding search words like "condition" "construction" "open" "passable" "obstacle" "muddy" "snow" "rutted" "gated" etc. that may be relevant. Or maybe the names of trailheads or other roads nearby: "Peeley" or "Beeline"?

Alternatives work too sometimes. Is it "beeline" or is it "87" or "the 87" or "AZ87" or "AZ-87".
"Four Peaks Road" can be "El Oso Road" or "FR143"

Lots of options may help you find something more easily.

I usually just go to Google and type in hikearizona (no space) and in this case fr 201 and I got a couple of pages worth.
Search functions on any forum I've been on suck, so I just go Google.
