Cool!
Also, note that Google Maps features work on HAZ.

Just click the
little google man streetview icon in the top left and drag him to the river. Now you can see what the Hance Creek drainage looks like from Sockdolager Rapid, not just what the rapid looks like from the shore.

Tibber, you just have to remember to keep his little head above the water

Not to try to get it too far off topic, but wasn't there a plan to take google to a trail view? Is that becoming a reality?

@gsp416dre
You are correct. As shown above with the river imagery, you can drag the little google man onto S Kaibab, Bright Angel, and the Rim Trail, and the "street view" shows up.
Also, if you scroll down on a forum page like this, at the bottom will be a list of "similar topics" discussed in the forum. The third item in the list is a topic called "Google Maps to bring "Street View" to hiking trails", which will give you more information about the implementation of this imagery from a couple of years ago.

Ah, yes, the similar topics... I forgot that was there...... I remember reading that topic now. I hope to be able to find other trails on it......

Well, for some reason I can't awaken the old google trail thread, so I will post this here. Has anyone seen this "trailview" site? May be old news to everyone, but I thought it was pretty neat.
