Garmin 450

As much as I didn't want to I broke down and bought a Garmin 450. Since I am as probably as cheap as someone who is on this site a bit more than me it didn't arrive with topo's - just the basic ole map. But is was cheap - did I mention that? Yeah CHEAP!
Now having been chastised - nicely I might add - by other certain individuals on this site on previous noob questions of mine, I did my homework and SEARCHED this site for useful info regarding my recent purchase. I have my unit pimped out with the HAZ logo - thanks Joe.
Joe and I traded a few PM's back and forth when I got my unit two weeks ago - since then work/life/rentals have pulled me from doing any additional research on obtaining topo's. Does anyone have a CHEAP as in FREE!
site I can go to to get maps or am I stuck being a financial ho for Garmin? I have located one site that seems sketchy at best and one that has maps that Joe tells me were absconded from users here. My inclination is to go there, just steal back from whence it came! ;)
BUT - I would rather hear some feedback from you folks as I have received NOTHING but the best info to this date. If I gotta spend the dough then I gotta spend the dough - but I would rather have it to have a few more post hike beverages.
Quite honestly this has to be the best hiking web site ever.....obviously I am a lil biased - but I digress.
Any info would be most appreciated as my Harvey Day Hike is in 22 days......
