Sedona Sunrise/Sunset

Hello All!

Going to be in Sedona for a full day either Sunday or Monday. Question; since I don't know the orientation of some of these features, where would be the best place for (a) sunrise and (b) sunset?

I been looking at Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, Mitten Ridge, Robbers Roost, Bear and Wilson Mts. I'd like to do some vista points at sunrise and sunset, and then in between maybe do Secret or Boynton or something.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated!

Oh, one other question; there is a pullout about a half mile (or less) north of Grasshopper Pt on 89A; it looks like there's a trail that leads up to that northern spur of one of the "Mittens"; that looks like it might be fun and a good viewpoint for sunset or sunrise. I see a trail going up that ridge on GoogleEarth. Anyone have any info on that?

It's hard to beat Cathedral and/or bell rock for ease of access and views. From the high point of Cathedral Rock you can see straight east AND straight west.

Of course if the clouds and sky are right for it, Red Rock Crossing, where Cathedral rock looms high to the east, can be fabulous for sunsets.
