Pine Marten on Humphrey?

Today while on the summit of Humphrey, I saw the first summit critter I have seen up there since 2006, when there was a little chipmunk begging for treats on the summit.

This was something else, though, and it appears to be a juvenile Pine Marten, but we aren't supposed to have them in Arizona, even though the habitat is probably acceptable. I was wondering if it was a pet that was released. He looks thin, and I expect it will die this winter.

That's bizarre. I wonder if it has relatives in the area.

Yeah, the pine marten is similar, Jim, but long-tailed weasels are found in Arizona. But they really do look similar to the pine marten in photos, I thought.

I have seen only one wild weasel, and that was in San Diego County earlier this year, but a different species. Indeed a nice find!

So, a Weasel?! He thought he could fool me and tell me he was a Pine Marten, but he is a Weasel!!

very cool spotting. but, better to be a weasel than a RAT, right?
i agree with long tailed.. it fits the google images.
