Isobutane/Propane availability on AZT thru hike

Planning on a spring 2015 thru hike and was trying to search for information on the availability of Isobutane\Propane fuel containers along the trail. Have not found much information on this and was wondering if anyone knows if they are readily available at some of the more easy to access supply points. If not may have to reconsider and take an esbit type stove.

Wal-Mart and Big 5 in Payson sells them and I think the store at Clint's Well started selling them as well.

@Nighthiker
Is that GAZ the blue containers? Haven't found them for my GAZ stove since I bought a near-lifetime supply when Popular went out of business in PHX.

You can get both propane and/or isobutane canisters at the General Store in Tusayan and Grand Canyon Village.

All fuel canisters/stoves were required to have a threaded fitting assembly for the fuel/stove connection. I used my last "press on "type fuel canister for my Hank Roberts Mark III stove and switched to a Snow Peak stove. I recently acquired a Coleman single burner stove that uses a butane fuel cartridge and the cartridge to stove fitting is a press on type. They are Gas brand fuel canisters not Gaz and they have threaded fittings. The Gaz brand fuel canisters (green colored ones) which are available at Sportsman Warehouse are now the threaded type.
