Tonto Hike Rim Run

Going to hike the Grandview, see the caves, hike around the Tonto, come up by way of the Spring, and top out. Day hike. Then trail run the 8 miles between Bright Angel and Hermit's Rest.

Confused - you're hiking the Grandview and Tonto around Horseshoe Mesa and up Page Spring?
But you're mentioning the stretch between Hermit and BA as well?

Maybe it's two separate hikes. The 13 to 15 miles from rim down Grandview, around Tonto and back to rim is one. Then I picture driving over to the Village and then running the Rim Trail out to Hermit? Why both in one day?

This will be a 2 day venture. Day one will be the caves and around Tonto. I'll trail run as many portions of the Tonto and Grandview as I can, but I don't think there are too many spots conducive to trail running on these sections.

Day 2 will be a run from BA over to Hermit on the Rim Trail (during the morning sunrise). =D>
