cool article... though I'm almost positive that Charles Bowden claims to have been there as well. I seem to remember an account of the event in one of his trilogy-- though I don't remember which one (Blood Orchid, Blues for Cannibals, or Some of the Dead are Still Breathing). I remember he wrote they buried him in his old blue sleeping bag as were his wishes and not a body bag. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Ditto, I heard that, too. Can't remember where but probably in a Bowden book.
