SOTA Milestone

For those who have noticed my string of peak bagging the last year or so I have been working toward a Goal in an Amateur Radio contest group called Summits on the air. The goal is to accumulate 1000 points operating amateur radio from selected mountain tops around the world. To date I have activated 106 peaks 104 of which are in Arizona and I have repeated none all unique for me. Many that I activated it was the first time anyone had activated it for the group and Hank and Pam have actually joined me on several. I did a marathon 4 peaks in the Flagstaff area on May 3rd and now I am at 999 points I need 1 more point to complete the challenge. When complete I will be the 2nd person in Arizona 25 person in the United States and the 231st person in the world to complete the Challenge of becoming a SOTA Mountain Goat. I have made several new friends in the process seen amazing places and I get to combine 2 things I really enjoy Hiking and Amateur Radio
The plan to tie a bow on this is East End Peak leaving the TH at 0630 to be on the summit by 8 am and stay till my batteries run out or it gets to hot. All are welcome.
