6/5/15-6/7/15
[ description ]
Leaving the valley early afternoon Friday. Camping overnight Friday and Saturday perhaps 2-5 miles from the trailhead. Sunday if there is time I may explore other things in the area as well.

All are welcome to join: one night, or both. Please practice bear-safe campsite technique. If you plan to dayhike to say hi you may not see us though.

This will be the portion of Chevelon Canyon below the lake, generally per the trail description. Looks like there is fishing and hiking. It seems as if the trail is not well defined in places so please be prepared. Willing to carpool, PM for details. I am not familiar with the area, so most info is obtained from triplogs and the trail description.

I hiked/backpacked upstream from Chevelon Crossing almost to the lake one time in August. There were many swimming holes, but I was told they do not occur unless monsoon is in full swing. It was a very interesting hike. Watch for petroglyphs!
