Hmm. Helicopter footage shows the river downstream of Coolidge Dam. I always thought that area was a no-no for river access.

Know at least one of them, sounds like they are going to be on Good Morning America.
Last I checked, the Needles Eye Wilderness is wilderness and thus OK. I don't think the tribe prohibits using the permit to drop in above the wilderness area boundary? And I'm almost positive there is no enforcement.

The Gila below Coolidge Dam and on down through Winkelman has always been infamous for snags and strainers. Glad they got out of it okay.
