Beamer Trail access to Colorado, just south of Crash Canyon

We are kayaking from the Confluence, down about 3 miles, to explore Crash Canyon, then, just south of the crash canyon, right after the tooth shaped island is a beach head that rises into one of the many side washes coming from Beamer Trail. REFER TO TOPO MAP ATTACHED. Google earth measurement indicates 0.18 miles distant from the beachhead to the interior 'V" junction to Beamer Trail with about 170' in elevation gain.

My question is..... has anyone taken this route down or up from Beamer Trail to the Colorado and is it doable as a non-technical climb. If it is NOT, then we will cancel the idea of exploring Crash Canyon as we do not want to have to negotiate with the rapids further down the Colorado.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Having hiked the Beamer, I am pretty sure that would be a technical side canyon. Did I actually try to descend it? No. But I looked at it.

0.4 miles downcanyon of your marking is the Hopi salt mine, and it is reported you could hike from there along river level downstream until you intersect the Beamer at Cardenas beach. But not from your marking, I do not think.

I was just looking at the ravines upstream of the Hopi salt mine on my last river trip and don't think there is a non-technical route. You may also want to check with the park about traveling on foot past the mine because I know they are off limits to rafting trip stops, not sure what the rules are about walking past them.
