Apologies to the moderators if there is already a forum thread... I looked but this site is ridiculously huge.

Recently came across a 1983 tv movie Kenny Rogers As the Gambler Part II - The Adventure Continues
There is a bunch of Sedona & Superstition ( Apacheland? ) scenery. Several different locations in Sedona are recognisable. Even if you don't hike much there is one scene right beside Cathedral/Bell Rock. Also a scene in Ponderosa near a small lake. Not sure, maybe [ Prime and Vail Lakes ]

What really caught my attention was a scene I think they filmed in Weekes Wash. I wouldn't think they could get a permit for that but it sure looked familiar. [ Weekes Wash ]

Tombstone (1993) was filmed at the movie set they built for it at the foot of the Rincon Mountains, and all over southern Arizona. Geronimo: An American Legend (1993) has scenes in Sabino Canyon--I knew a guy who had a bit part in one of those scenes. And of course, dozens of old westerns filmed at the original Old Tucson. Lost in America (1985), a comedy about a couple in a motorhome, has a memorable scene filmed in Safford/Thatcher, where the lead actor is playing a crossing guard. (It's only memorable if you know the corner where it was filmed.)

Safford doesn't have a lot of corners, so it shouldn't be hard to spot.

Oh, and lest I forget, awesome drive-in B-movie heist flick "The Day of the Wolves" was filmed in Swansea ( [ youtube video ] ), Planet Ranch and Lake Havasu City. :gun:

Are we reminiscing? Easy Rider on US 160 from just north of Cameron to east of Kayenta. Yes, the old Tucson Studios parts, like in Joe Kidd, and then he suddenly rides 500 miles to Lone Pine, CA. Vacation from 1983, filmed around Kayenta, Monument Valley, Baby Rocks, and near where I lived.

My NAU college buddy was a stand-in on "Midnight Run" when it was filming up in Flagstaff. We used to hang in a bar on Milton and drink with the crew. Cast & crew stayed at Little America ...

"Next" has an amusingly unrealistic Havasupai scene and an even more unrealistic romance between Nicholas Cage and Jessica Biel. "The Canyon" takes place at the Grand Canyon and features a scene in Antelope Canyon and is also high on the so-ridiculously-bad-it's-good scale. :D

The Circle K where Bill & Ted were teleported via phone booth to the future is in Tempe on Southern & Hardy.

Management, a quirky, goofy, cheesy 2008 rom-com starring Jennifer Aniston, Steve Zahn and Woody Harleson. The movie was set in Kingman AZ but was actually filmed in Oregon, that's how weird it was.

What about Dark Mountain? Not to be mixed up with Brokeback Mountain two different true stories.
