Meeting at Lippan Point THURSDAY 10/22... Have a shuttle dropping us at Salt TH...night hike in, camp at LCR THUR night; some of us are using some blow up kayaks past the concluence, down the CO, and onto Crash Canyon..

Will probably camp at the beach head at the mouth of Crash Canyon on Friday night (10/23).

There is a "last chance" climb to get back onto Beamer just below crash canyon, after "heart" island. Game plan is to get to Tanner Rapids/Tanner Trail junction, set up camp nearby on the north side of the CO, and do some exploring SAT afternoon.

SUN morning (10/24) bust pumpkin up and out to Lippan Point; 30 miles of bad assery.

FYI in my experience you will be right on the edge of the LCR running blue again -- and only IF it doesn't rain between now and then (possibly that milky mint color). The LCR and all the area washes for dozens of miles in all directions flashed hard on Tuesday. The flow was well over 2000cfs (10x normal) even at the confluence.

@azwater
Yes, you do. You need a permit to camp anywhere below the rim in GCNP.
