Writer, old Arizonan, wondering if anyone has actually seen the Hopi Salt Caves. Trek data is slim. 'Not asking if you've been there only if you have seen them.

My search showed Grand Canyon. Is this the location you're asking about?

Yep. Floated by them twice during white water trips through the Grand Canyon. Considered sacred ground by the Hopi, thus the river guides never stop there. Was a right of passage for a young Hopi to trek to the salt caves and bring back salt. It was more complicated than just that, but the trip alone is pretty strenuous.

I saw that it is also near Sipapu in the Grand Canyon, which is the emergence into this world to the Hopi. Yeah very sacred ground. But I also asked where because the Hopi got salt from the mine at Camp Verde. As you can see there is a wealth of info to be shared here.
