I saw a twitter post about this, and sure enough it is a real thing: A fire lookout game.

I suck at "Deer Hunter".
Did better at the cop-type shooters.
I remember having an Avalon-Hill forest management board game. (Gotta look it up, or it will bug the hell out of me ...) "Outdoor Survival"! That's it! (

I also remember specifcally playing an ASCII video game back in the late 80s / early 90s. Yep, only took a few minutes to track that down: "Fire Fighter" (
