Supposedly 5000 lumens but probably around 3K. It's a bright mutha. I have 3 of them. Ebay you can find it below 15 bucks but it will come without any chargers or probably batteries. And it takes an odd size battery that is rechargeable. Amazon has it for around 30 bucks with car and wall charger and a battery set.
Fair construction, comfortable, and I love the side lights for good flood light coverage in mines and caves. Blows most Petzels away. It is not a small headlamp, and one of mine tends to heat up after about 30 min but overall incredible light, you will not miss anything.

The 18650 Battery is pretty standard for these higher powered LED lights.
How's the battery life on High with that bugger?
Does it feel heavy on your head?

It's not bad unless you got a helmet on too. Then that combo can be somewhat weighty. I have an assortment of those batteries about 2 hours is it on high, and that is probably generous.

specs for the CREE XM-L2 LED are http://www.cree.com/LED-Components-and- ... XLamp-XML2

I was curious vs what Fry's Electronics stocks locally.
A $28 flashlight with a CREE XP-G2 LED http://www.cree.com/LED-Components-and- ... XLamp-XPG2
Specs say 515 max lumen. Sold at Fry's as 320 lumen.

Based on that mini comparison the Boruit 5000 might be in the 700 range. Which by realistic numbers is a "bright mutha" as Letty says!
