Is there a published list of Trail Angels that provide help to hikers along the AZT? Also interested in what trail towns offer the best opportunity for resupplying as well as hostels along the trail. Thank you for your help, Tally Ho.

@TallyHo
There's some great info on Gateway Communities in the guidebook, as well as on the ATA website at
http://www.aztrail.org/gateway. I know that there are some folks working on getting a website list for folks to sign up and get in contact with trail angels, but it's still in the works.
Lots of them haunt around here, though - so if you're looking for specific help, it can be good to develop relationships on this forum!

I love Trail Angels! And I give tips, too.
On the CDT in Membres, NM a trail angel family took me in for a night. They had my resupply box. Provided a place for a shower, supper and a breakfast, and I was gone. Great B&B. I gave them $50. Sometimes I give less, but I always give something.
I know trail angels enjoy helping others, but it should not be a financial loss for them.
Just my $.02 worth.
